Patriot Acura Supports LifeFlight of Maine Through Community Giving Initiative

At Patriot Acura, supporting organizations that save lives is a responsibility we take seriously. Through our 12 Weeks of Giving program, we proudly partner with nonprofits that provide essential services to communities across Maine.

In May 2025, we were honored to support LifeFlight of Maine, a nonprofit organization delivering critical care transport and emergency medical services when every second counts.

 

Delivering Critical Care Across Maine

In a large, rural state like Maine—where access to advanced medical facilities can be spread out—rapid response is crucial. LifeFlight of Maine bridges that gap by effectively bringing the ICU directly to patients through air and ground transport.

Since 1998, LifeFlight has provided life-saving care to more than 40,000 patients, offering:

• ICU-level medical care during transport
• Rapid response via helicopters, airplane, and specialized ambulances
• 24/7/365 service across the state

Operating out of Sanford, Lewiston, and Bangor, their highly trained pilots and medical teams are always ready to respond—day or night.

 

A Behind-the-Scenes Visit in Sanford

As part of our May initiative, the Patriot Acura team traveled to Sanford to meet with the LifeFlight crew and gain a deeper understanding of their mission and operations.

During our visit, we received a comprehensive tour of their facility and equipment, learning firsthand how their team prepares for high-stakes emergency situations. One of the highlights of the day was witnessing a helicopter land right in front of us—an unforgettable moment that underscored the precision and urgency of their work.

 

Patriot Acura’s Contribution

Through our 12 Weeks of Giving program, Patriot Acura raised $625 during the first week of May, which was donated to support LifeFlight of Maine’s ongoing mission.

While that amount represents roughly 20 minutes of helicopter flight time, every contribution plays a role in sustaining this life-saving service and ensuring it remains available to those in need.

 

Supporting a Life-Saving Mission

LifeFlight of Maine operates as a nonprofit, with additional support from the LifeFlight Foundation, which helps raise funds and awareness for their mission.

Their work requires not only advanced equipment and training, but also strong community support—and we are proud to be part of that effort.
