Patriot Acura Supports Maine Veterans’ Homes in Scarborough Through Community Giving
At Patriot Acura, honoring those who have served our country is a responsibility we take seriously. Through our ongoing 12 Weeks of Giving program, we proudly partner with organizations that provide meaningful support to veterans and their families.
In March 2025, we were honored to support Maine Veterans’ Homes – Scarborough, a facility dedicated to delivering compassionate, around-the-clock care to those who have sacrificed so much for our nation.
Providing Essential Care for Veterans in Maine
Maine Veterans’ Homes plays a vital role in supporting veterans, their spouses, and their families through comprehensive healthcare and support services. Their Scarborough location offers a wide range of care, including:
- Skilled nursing and long-term care
- Rehabilitative and therapy services
- Specialized programs tailored to veterans’ unique needs
What stood out most during our visit was the organization’s deep commitment to recognizing the sacrifices made by veterans and ensuring they receive the respect, dignity, and care they deserve.
A Behind-the-Scenes Visit to MVH Scarborough
Our team had the opportunity to visit the Scarborough facility and meet with Administrator Patty Nutting and Director of Occupational Therapy Katie Berthiaume. They provided a comprehensive overview of the organization’s mission, services, and long-term goals.
During the tour, we gained valuable insight into the scale of the facility—much larger than it appears from the outside—and the extensive, 24/7 care provided by a dedicated team of professionals.
Their passion and commitment to helping veterans navigate physical and emotional challenges left a lasting impression on our team.
Patriot Acura’s Contribution
As part of our March 2025 12 Weeks of Giving initiative, Patriot Acura donated $550, raised through a percentage of vehicle sales during the first week of the month.
This contribution supports the continued delivery of high-quality care and resources for veterans and their families in the Scarborough community.
