July 2025: Maine Academy of Modern Music
Patriot Acura Supports Maine Academy of Modern Music Through Community Giving Initiative
At Patriot Acura, we believe in the power of community, creativity, and connection. Through our ongoing Patriot Cares, Patriot Shares program, we proudly support organizations that enrich lives across Maine.
In July 2025, we were excited to partner with the Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM), an organization dedicated to making music education accessible, engaging, and inspiring for learners of all ages.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Musicians
The Maine Academy of Modern Music offers music education programs across Portland, Augusta, Bangor, and midcoast school partnerships. Their mission is simple but powerful: to use music as a tool for creativity, collaboration, and personal growth.
Through classes, camps, and performance opportunities, MAMM provides students with more than just music instruction—it gives them a space to build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and express themselves creatively.
Music becomes a positive and lasting outlet that can shape lives far beyond the classroom.
A Visit Full of Energy and Creativity
During our July visit, the Patriot Acura and Patriot Subaru teams met with Founder and Executive Director Jeff Shaw and Development Manager Kerstin Gilg. We were also fortunate to tour the facility while summer camp was in full swing.
The building was alive with energy as young musicians practiced, collaborated, and filled the space with sound. It was a powerful reminder of how impactful creative education can be—helping students stay engaged, motivated, and excited to learn.
Who knows—there may be future award-winning artists or touring bands forming right now within those walls.
Patriot Acura’s Contribution
As part of the Patriot Cares, Patriot Shares initiative, Patriot Acura and Patriot Subaru jointly contributed $2,100, raised during the week of July 7–12.
This donation supports MAMM’s continued efforts to provide accessible music education and expand opportunities for students across Maine.
Supporting Creativity and Community
At Patriot Acura, we recognize that programs like MAMM do more than teach music—they build confidence, encourage collaboration, and create strong, connected communities.
We are proud to support organizations that invest in the next generation and help young people discover their passions.
Our Ongoing Commitment to Giving Back
Through initiatives like Patriot Cares, Patriot Shares and our broader community outreach efforts, Patriot Acura remains committed to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in Maine.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Maine Academy of Modern Music team, Jeff Shaw, Kerstin Gilg, and all the talented students who made our visit unforgettable.
