Patriot Acura Supports Special Olympics Maine Through Community Experience and Inclusion Initiative
At Patriot Acura, we believe community support should create meaningful experiences—not just donations. Through our ongoing Patriot Cares, Patriot Shares program, we proudly partner with organizations that build inclusion, confidence, and connection across Maine.
In December 2025, we were honored to support Special Olympics Maine in a unique way—by helping athletes and their families experience a memorable night at a Maine Celtics basketball game.
300 Tickets for an Unforgettable Night
For our December initiative, Patriot Subaru and Patriot Acura teamed up to purchase and donate 300 Maine Celtics game tickets for Special Olympics Maine athletes and their families.
Instead of a traditional monetary donation, our goal was to create a shared experience—one that brought athletes, families, and the community together for a night of celebration and connection.
The highlight of the evening was a special halftime exhibition game featuring Special Olympics athletes, showcasing their talent, energy, and passion for the sport.
Celebrating Inclusion Through Sport
Special Olympics has been transforming lives and attitudes since 1968, growing from a backyard summer camp into a global movement for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Here in Maine, Special Olympics provides year-round training and athletic competition for both children and adults, offering opportunities across a wide range of sports.
Their mission goes far beyond athletics—it’s about:

- Developing physical fitness
- Creating lasting friendships
- Encouraging teamwork and personal achievement
Every athlete is celebrated for their abilities and supported by a strong network of coaches, volunteers, families, and community partners.
